  10. The Information contained on this CD-ROM has been compiled from many
  11. sources, such as the Internet, UFO archives and Private Interviews. 
  12.  
  13. Many of the Encyclopedic photographs have been scanned from the blurred
  14. originals, As such are as good as they will get. In some cases we have
  15. included "artist-impressions" so as to improve the quality.
  16.  
  17. We make no claims that any of the infomation, film-clips or sound-files
  18. are real or true to life.
  19.  
  20. Many of the Articles have originated from the United States of America.
  21.  
  22. You can press the "HELP" key at any time whilst on the main encyclopedia
  23. screen to access the on-line help.

  28. -------------------
  29. Minimum: AGA Amiga, 4mb Ram, 2x CD-ROM.
  30. Recommended: AGA Amiga, 6mb Ram, 4x CD-ROM.

  34. AmiCDFS
  35. -------
  36. AmiCD FileSystem is a more advanced CDFileSystem than the standard
  37. "Commodore" filesystem, Although this CD should work fine on any CD-ROM
  38. drive, We recommend that you have either AmiCDFS or AsimCDFS installed
  39. for your CD file-system.

  41. Please note however that not all CD-ROM drives require this software to
  42. be installed.  eg: Zappo Drives
  43.  
  44. When installing this software, please read the on-screen information
  45. carefully.
  46.  
  47. The default setup of the supplied version of AmiCDFS is for a Squirrel
  48. interface connected to a SCSI drive, you may need to change the "icon
  49. information" appropriately to match you CD-ROM drive.

  52. AmiCDFileSystem directory of this CD.

  59. Known problems!
  60. ---------------
  61. * The Encyclopedia will run on a 4mb Amiga but many of the functions
  62.   such as Audio/Video film-clips may be un-viewable. This also applies
  63.   to the main "Demo" and "Experience" sequences.
  64.  
  65. * If you do encounter problems running the CD the most common problem is
  66.   that you you are not running AmiCDFS. You will need to install it
  67.   before the Encyclopedia is used.
  68.   (see above).

  70. * Zappo drives simply need the latest version of the driver software
  71.   installed, this can be found in the FREEDATA directory of this CD.

  73. * Software running in the background, such as a clock or VirusKiller can
  74.   cause the Encyclopedia to fail to load.
  75.  
  76. * IControl "Avoid Flicker" is ticked - This needs to be UN-Ticked.
  77.  
  78. * Reno CD-ROMs - upon installation seem to de-grade Workbench3 down to
  79.   Workbench2, so you may need to copy across all you Workbench3
  80.   directories apart from the "S" directory, this should fix the problem.

  82. * Although the Encyclopedia will work fine on a 6mb Amiga, you may
  83.   encounter very low memory situations if you have been or are running
  84.   other programs, This can cause "sound" problems.

  86. * The mathieeedoubbas.library may be corrupt, the correct size of the
  87.   mathieeedoubbas.library is 5240 bytes.
